The design was continued thru World War Two till it was replaced with the Roosevelt Dime designed to commemorate the life of former President Roosevelt who was the longest seated President in US History. This produced some of the lowest mintage coins of the 20th century in the US and some of its more desirable collectables such as the 19-D Mercury Dimes. The US Mint Shifted its priority to production of Silver Dollars in 19 reducing the output of smaller coins in 1921 and almost exclusively Dollars in 1922.
